Joe is a native of Southern California, born in Inglewood and growing up primarily in Orange County. He graduated from Cal State University at Long Beach with a music degree, and began teaching in the public high schools in 1987. It was during this time that Joe understood and embraced the gospel and became a Christian. While attending Magnolia Baptist Church in Riverside, CA, he met Kristi, who would become Mrs. Beneschan in April of 1995 (they now have three children, David, Sarah, and Jenae). Shortly after their marriage, they headed to Los Angeles where Joe would attend The Master’s Seminary, graduating with honors in 1998. From there Joe and Kristi and family moved to Nebraska where he served in various pastoral roles in the city of Lincoln. In the summer of 2007 Joe was called to be the Senior Pastor of Ross Bible Church. Joe’s preaching, writing and shepherding ministry is with the accomplishment of Colossians 1:28 in view: “We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.”Pastor Steve Scott—Pastor of Worship

Pastor Steve Scott joined the Ross Bible Church staff in 2001. He attended Word of Life Bible Institute for one year and received a bachelors degree in Music Education from Tennessee Temple University. Pastor Steve is married to Kristie and they have three daughters and a son; Olivia, Morgan, Brady and Lindsay. Pastor Steve’s goal for the music ministry at Ross is for the participants, whether the congregation or dedicated musicians, to understand that God is the audience and He alone is deserving of all our praise.Pastor Tim Clark—Youth Pastor

Pastor Tim Clark has been on staff at Ross Bible Church since 1998. Prior to his service at Ross, he worked for six years with teenagers in group home settings and social work. He has a bachelors degree in theological studies from Baptist Bible College. Pastor Tim’s primary responsibility is the Biblical instruction of the Junior High, Senior High and College age groups. It is his desire that those who attend the Ross Bible youth group would put their faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, have a working knowledge of God’s word, be capable of studying the Bible on their own and act out their faith in a practical way.
